WHERE?

Where are we today, O Lord?
Where are our hearts, and minds…
Most importantly our souls?
Are they in Your grip or do we…
well, give a rip?
I know I’m speaking bold, but
Eternity matters, I think
And this life? O so short.
Of course the young don’t understand –
They will, but then what?
Can they presume you’ll always be there?
As Uber, to be called upon
And you come when they call;
take them where they direct?
That’s O, not so;
But off they go.
Where are we today, I Lord?
I’m asking for them, not me.
I know where I am,
I just want better for them…
For their hearts, minds…
and yes, souls.
