About Millpond Ink/Quiet Corner Productions
A Faith and Family Entertainment Company
We are pleased to introduce to you our owner and board of directors:
In 2012, Millpond Ink LLC was formed as an independent publishing company, which resulted in the publishing of The Gang of Twenty and Six and Ambient.
In 2016, Millpond Ink LLC established dba Quiet Corner Productions in Ashford, Connecticut. Under Quiet Corner Productions, David Marchuck Barbour, has produced, written and performed in audio and video productions. Our audio productions are offered as part of the Millpond Radio Tabernacle, which focuses on our H.C. Spurgeon series. Video productions included A Christmas Carol Reunion and Farewell and our video offering of The Gang of Twenty and Six,
OUR BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Hi. I’m Gail. Enough with formalities. How I praise God for the opportunity to serve my Lord and Savior, Jesus, as President and Secretary of the Millpond Ink Board! Now, if only we could come up with a firm monthly meeting schedule, my prayers would be answered. Then again, I know that David has suffered far too many fiery darts with the development of the website. The website has been the singular issue for almost a year now. Anyway, now that the website is up and running, maybe we can return to some semblance of order. That’s where the Lord God has given me the administrative gift to get this horse galloping.
Hi! Yes, I am David’s wife. Call me Sunny. And yes, I love my husband, but more importantly I love the Lord God with all my heart, soul, mind, and might, and I believe in what God is doing with Millpond Ink/Quiet Corner Productions. As an long-standing community actress, my contributions are mostly directed towards the theatrical side of our faith and family outreach. Now that community stages are opening (after our 2-year bout with COVID), we hope to get back on stage here in the Quiet Corner of Connecticut.
Hi, Jim York here. As a producer, director and actor in community theater, I thank the Lord Jesus for the opportunity to provide my prayer support and insight to Millpond Ink, and David’s call to produce quality faith and family entertainment. We have come a long way – praise be to God! We pray that we will continue to grow in wisdom, God-given talent, and the creative ability to provide meaningful audio/visual works to God’s glory and honor. New England is a hard place to find hearts and minds drawn to serving Christ, our Lord has continually met our needs.
Hi from Wasilla, Alaska! I am the youngest board member. Ahem. I was blessed when my dad asked me to come on-board (dad joke.) I, too, love the Lord Jesus and as a homeschool parent and lover of history, I am excited to be a part of what God is doing through Millpond Ink. I pray I can provide my dad, and the other Board members, wise and prayerful counsel. I am especially excited about our Gang of Twenty and Six video project for parents and young children, and the H.C. Spurgeon series, which sermons I believe God will richly bless in the hearing of God’s intended audience.
The following explains a little about the development of our script and those who came along side in the production of our mixed media and stop action animation.
It took David five years to write a script that the Lord God responded to by opening doors to the production and now its release. Why that long? David hadn’t done his due diligence. The Lord was not about to open any doors that did not correctly bring to light the Gospel message, which Charles Dickens embedded in his Carol. For more on what David discovered, he will share that later on this page. As for the doors Father opened, please see our notes of appreciation to Department 56, Enesco LLC; Faith Based Casting & The Cheryl Rhoads Northern Virginia Acting School. Let’s just say, the past five years have been a most trying, yet most satisfying years in growth and challenge for everyone involved in this project.
Todd Sherrod provided invaluable direction during the making of the voiceover scenes in our video. Those scenes were ZOOMED, voices recorded and edited. During those months, Todd faced, as many of us, the trials of family commitments, work, and health issues that kept us on our knees (which is actually quite good.)
THANK YOU TODD!
Millpond Ink, LLC dba Quiet Corner Productions sincerely thanks Enesco LLC for approving our use of their wonderful Department 56 miniature Dicken’s Village buildings, horse-drawn conveyances, and figurines in the stop-action animation viewed in this production.
THANK YOU ENESCO!

Millpond Ink LLC/Quiet Corner Productions will offer in the future a variety of radio programs beginning with a release of A Christmas Carol Reunion and Farewell, but also centered on the extraordinary sermons preached by Charles Haddon Spurgeon.
Over in our Radio Tabernacle, we are in the Grind recording the fifteen sermons preached by Charles Haddon Spurgeon as he began his pastorate at the New Park Street Chapel, London, England. We are excited to offer these recordings in our Sacred Sermon Series. Charles Haddon Spurgeon, who was a prolific leader of the Reformed Baptists, served the Lord Jesus thirty-eight years, beginning his ministry at the New Park Street Chapel, which ultimately became the Metropolitan Tabernacle. It is an honor for us to record these sermons, but more so a blessing to learn and grow from them. Spurgeon’s first sermon, Sovereignty and Salvation; was preached on January 6, 1854, and will be available for download October 1, 2022.
