In Christ I Can Boast

It’s one thing to be secure in my faith in Christ Jesus.
I cannot boast. I will not –
Not as long as I am on earth and know that others live in darkness.
When I am in heaven, what I witness now is forgotten.
What I see on television today…
There won’t be a need for one – no, not there.
I’ll see and hear everything clearly,
as the 5,000 saw and heard Jesus speak from the hillside.
Such clarity in His words!
His beatitudes… the teaching of the Lord’s Prayer.
There’s a clarity in truth that doesn’t exist in falsehood…
no obfuscation… no pundits to explain what Christ meant…
no spin, shadow of turning or a walking back to cover.
Clarity… blessed clarity and sweetness of truth…
a simple proclamation for us to ‘Look up and be ye saved all the ends of the earth.
For I am God, and there is none else!’
In Christ, I can boast… of my Lord and Savior –
prophet, priest and King!
So can you boast, if only you look up!
