Christ’s Love of His Vineyard
Song of Solomon 8:12
Pastor’s Opening
You are aware that the Song of Solomon, also called the Canticles, are responsive songs — meaning that one sentence is uttered by Solomon, and the next by Solyma, his spouse. We believe that in this “Song of Songs – which is Solomon’s” – we also hear Christ speaking to his Church – his bride – and the Church responding to his words of love in tones which his love suggested to her.
What’s in a Title
Christ’s love of his vineyard. Again, we are bid to listen taking what we hear from Christ’s perspective.
