Book of Job, 10

Concealing the Words of God

Job 6:10

Pastor’s Opening

JOB’S dire distress was aggravated by the remarks of his friends. Eliphaz the Temanite opened fire against him in such words as these: “Behold, thou hast instructed many, and thou hast strengthened the weak hands. Thy words have upholden him that was falling, and thou hast strengthened the feeble knees. But now it is come upon thee, and thou faintest; it toucheth thee, and thou art troubled.” As much as to say, you can preach but you cannot practice. Where now your sermons and advices to others?
