In The Teachings of Nature in the Kingdom of Grace, Pastor Spurgeon unfolds fifty-six discourses on God’s love and grace as revealed through creation and his interaction with man. Based on the authoritative and inspired Word of God, he begins his discourses with the Book of Genesis, Chapters 1 – 3. He then takes us on a pilgrimage through various stops in the Old and New Testaments to point out key scenery.
In our production of this audiobook, our prayer is to provide a quality sound production, visual imagery, and follow notes to read before or while listening (if you are listening in front of a home monitor.) In our follow notes, we provide (1) a ‘Where We Are,’ notation, which is a brief statement of what we covered previously, (2) the relevant Scripture(s), (3) Spurgeon discourse highlights (selected quotations), (4) our narrator’s ‘Thought Going Forward,’ and (5) in tribute to Spurgeon’s love of short rhymes, a short poetic verse relevant to the subject of that particular discourse.
Why do we call the discourses unfolding’s? Creative license. We might have called each discourse a chapter, but as we delved deeper into each discourse, we were struck with a sense of awe in what we learned, and more importantly, what Christ ‘unfolded’ through His servant, C. H. Spurgeon.
