Sermon for New Year’s Day

Charles Haddon Spurgeon preached ‘Sermon for New Years’ on January 1, 1885 at the Metropolitan Tabernacle, London, England. His sermon was based upon the Book of Revelation, Chapter 21, Verse 5:

“And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.”

Yes, for true believers the New Year presents a newness of life, extending from winter’s end to the following winter’s beginning. There is hardly a thought that we will experience another spring, summer, and autumn, but by God’s grace and providence, we shall. May this coming year bring a great harvest of blessing in and through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
