Charles Haddon Spurgeon preached this sermon on April 8, 1855, in celebration of our risen Lord and Savior, Easter Sunday. Based on Matthew 28:6, “Come, see the place where the Lord lay,” let us come, let us stand in front of the tomb of Christ… let us enter and look. What can we learn there? What can we see?
MY THOUGHT: Jesus said to those who had ears, let them hear. Indeed, that is a wonderful admonishment and I pray always to be listening for his voice. Of course, I also desire to have eyes that see. Here, I pray to have the sight of imagination – visualization so that I can survey the scene of my Lord’s burial and delight in the prospect of His coming again.
