Song of Solomon, Chapter 4, Verse 7

Seeing Myself

Song of Solomon 4:7

“You are altogether beautiful, my love;
there is no flaw in you.”

Interpretive Poem

How do I see myself? That’s hard to say.
One day I’ll never or scantly look.
But now that I’m here, sin led it’s way.
To a mirror tarnished – broken, smudged.

Still, the One who stands by Father’s side.
His view is not my own.
The beauty seen – not mine but His.
The light of Christ in me?
In heaven it’s ever shown.
