The Tomb of Jesus – Easter Sermon

This tier (2022) offering to celebrate Easter is from the Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 28, Verse 6 – “Come, see the place where the Lord lay.”

Yes, Lord, take me by your Spirit to the tomb where our beloved Lord and Savior was laid to rest. Oh, to consider… to envisage that glorious morning! Open my eyes to take into my heart and mind all that Mary, Peter and John saw when they peered, went inside the sepulcher. What did they see, oh Lord? Nothing. No one was there! Considering your great creation, Oh Lord, when you made all that is – heaven and earth – out of nothing! Even so, that morning… that wonderful morning, you made an empty space – with nothing, no one there – everything.
