Millpond Poetry, 2015 – The Death of Death

I don’t know what you think or even if you do.
Dead men don’t; they can’t. …
But the time is nearing;
an ever spreading darkness-
such as in the valley of death’s shadows;
but not as the one David walked.
This one leads to the death of death,
Dead men rising and walking
when Christ, the eternal Life and Light shall shine,
and the creep of death and darkness is cast
into its own predetermined place
and that, for all eternity; alive, dead men raised,
but who will forever remain
from that point on
dead to God;
left in their transgressions and sin.
