Millpond Musing – Of Heaven and Politics

When the conversation about men’s souls and eternity is neglected for the sake of time spent in the discussion of the politics of men and the temporal consequences, Satan has effectively taken the Christian out of the Kingdom race for the true finish line. As Jesus set His face towards Jerusalem, and turned aside from meeting with the Greeks when He was told they wanted to see Him, we too must turn aside and face the cross. We must have within us what C.H. Spurgeon called the ‘holy anxiety’ that should first drive us in winning the souls of men.
