Millpond Ink Musing, 2015 – The Day of Visitation

Since the day of our Lord’s ascension, men have lived that would say they were sinners and believed in Jesus for pardon but they continued to live in sin; keeping it hidden the best they could from the view of others. In fact, they would travel great distances to satisfy their lusts and incur considerable cost to accommodate their sin so to keep it from public view! Oh, if only I could live safely in sin and not be found out!

Today? It doesn’t seem to be that way because many openly sin who seem to believe in Christ! How do I know? I visit their FB pages after they liked our page or positively commented. If you like something posted here on Millpond Ink, you open your door for a visit. I care about you! But when I do, I may find the use of impure language, suggestive or filthy pictures, posts linked to sorceries, new age heresies, posts filled with hatred, strife, jealousy, envy… I think you get my point. Read Galatians, Chapter 5: 17-23.

Maybe you know that I visit, and if I say nothing about what I see, I’m accepting of what I find there. Well, I’m not; not because I am humanly offended but I’m grieved; my Spirit grieves for you. I’ve sinned; most grievously, but thankfully, it led to my humiliation and repentance. True repentance comes by way of the Holy Spirit’s conviction of our sin, worked out through our shame and guilt. However, to be without shame? To leave what you must know is an affront to God posted on your page?

No, no, no… When we cry out for forgiveness, we cry wanting a clean slate; guilt and shame removed! We praise God for His mercy! Then, because there is power in the blood of the Lamb to overcome, we are changed! We are now prepared for the day of His visitation! If that is truly the case, please clean your FB slate; let it stand as a testimony of the change God worked in your life to all your friends!

If not? The next visitation…His? Not that He doesn’t already know what’s in your heart and posted, but it may be too late. My beloved, view your page as a window to your soul, where others may look in. Examine it, as you’re called to examine your heart and repent; then delete the page and start afresh!
