Millpond Ink Musing, 2015 – Safe Because We’re Hidden

Yesterday, I wrote how the God-man Jesus introduced humanity into the Godhead; specifically, sympathy. I don’t know about you, but the thought that Jesus brought humanity into the Godhead; something that was not done for the angels, that is an absolutely wonderful and profound act. Our Lord’s condescension as God and by His birth, life, death, resurrection and ascension, raising us in Him; this explains how it is that we are now hid in Christ in God (Col. 3:3). If that meditation is not astounding to you; that we; who are in Christ, are presently and really safe in Him, I think perhaps we need to examine ourselves anew; working out our salvation with fear and trembling.
