Millpond Ink Musing, 2015 – Of Primitive Men and The Heavens

At the time the Apostle Paul wrote the book of Romans; specifically Chapter 1, and pointed to the heavens as evidence of a creator, yes, you could say that men during that age were primitive; comparably speaking in ‘knowledge’ and ‘explanation.’ Now, 2,000 years later, men claim that we must consider how much more data we have amassed and knowledge man has attained. Surely, the light of man’s understanding today ha…s eclipsed such archaic religious and dull arguments!

Well, that’s hard to counter, although many Christians attempt through apologetics to provide a defense; many admirable and scientific. The thing is, and I’m only now beginning to understand it myself, but the only defense the Bible calls for is our defense of the hope that is within us. Of course, that means someone must see that hope in us to ask, and indeed, our lives should be lived in such a manner as men look upon us as the distant stars! Men around should look up at us and ask…

“How is it that in light of all that has gone awry in the world that you have peace? Don’t you see? Aren’t you afraid? We all are dying! But you have joy! Love! Tell me, please, for what I possess in knowledge and can explain about things intellectually cannot fill the void here,” he said patting his chest over his heart.

Be God’s star today; after all, you were created by Him too; even as the heavens.
