Millpond Ink Musing, 2015 – Of Light and Darkness
Jesus said, “Take heed that the light that is in you is not darkness.” How is it that light can be darkness? It is a matter of where we look; what the eye sees and what enters our heart and mind.
The light of this world is darkness. All of its teachings, pleasures, justifications… everyone today is a victim of something or someone else. We say of God that we have free will, but oh, how quickly we say someone else made us what we are… husband, wife, employer, society, government; our list goes on and on. We look anywhere for light to brighten; warm our day; to appease our conscience…justify our existence and how we exist. Unfortunately, it is all darkness.
Jesus said that He is the Light of the world. Accept responsibility for your own sin; run to Him; look to Him! He will save you and His Light; pure and as bright as the noonday sun will go streaming in!
