Millpond Ink Musing, 2015 – Of Judging Ourselves Before We Are Judged and What We Can Expect to Hear

He that judges himself,” saith the apostle, “shall not be judged of the Lord.” 1 Cor. 11:31.

And after one judges himself?

“If we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9

However, by what do we judge ourselves?

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that a man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Tim. 3:16,17

And what can we expect to hear on His day of judgment?

“His Lord said to him, ‘well done good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord.” Matthew 25:31
