“What though? Is there no master in the house because the servants do all the work?” My grandfather (12th great), Thomas Shepard asked this in his book, ‘The Sincere Convert and The Sound Believer.’ It was a question that he asked of people who questioned God’s existence. I consider it reasonable. Similarly, I would ask in the same frame, “Is the property taken by a burglar his because no one was home to protect it?” Yet, sometimes we think this way but it doesn’t make either conclusion true. The problem is, for those who think it’s true, they won’t find out until the master returns or the property is claimed by the rightful owner.
