Millpond Ink Musing, 2015 – Duh

I was reminded this morning that some of my brothers and sisters would question why I would pray or share the Gospel inasmuch as my stated belief is that God has predetermined the outcome of all things. Well, because it’s all about my daily and wonderful relationship with Jesus, and I simply do what He asks. If I’m praying to be an obedient son, shouldn’t I pray and share the precious Gospel as instructed?

The fact is, God allowed me to participate in His Kingdom and I am His Son’s inheritance; purchased by His blood. Through the Holy Spirit, my prayers are conformed to Father’s will (so I can’t go wrong, and it’s amazing to watch how my prayers unfold), and He leads me into contact with those that Father wants me to speak (to His end and purpose in their lives.)

Look, He chose me before the beginning of the world and put me here today as part of His sovereignty, and so, yes, my participation was predetermined! This gives me an eternal purpose! What’s wrong with that doctrine? All that I’ve said is written in the Bible you know, and joyfully confirmed in my soul. Sometimes I just don’t get my brothers and sisters, but we are who we are, and I suspect we’re all in for surprises. Father does have His secrets you know.

Duh.
