In determining the will of God from among a number of choices, I say to choose that one that is ‘obedience positive and sin neutral.’ What is obedience positive? We know the choice is consistent with what we’re told in God’s Word, knowing that the choice is pleasing also to our heavenly Father. Now, what do I mean by sin neutral? There should be no thought or prick of conscience that warns you that that choice could lead to an occasion to sin. If there is such a thought or prick of conscience, then it’s best to eliminate that choice. Move on to the next option that Father has given to you.
