Is Salvation a Miracle?

Basically, there are two different camps on how a man is saved. There are those who believe that God preordains the elect (those to be saved) from all eternity. Then, there are those who believe a man is saved when that man chooses to believe as a matter of his free will. As I meditated on these two camps, there is no doubt in my mind that a man’s salvation is a miracle if God elects who is saved and quickens that man by his Spirit from death into life. Such an action is plainly supernatural (beyond natural power or explanation.) On the other hand, if man makes the choice to believe, then the decision-making is clearly man’s and not miraculous because it occurred by nature.
