Spurgeon was called the Prince of Preachers, but one of the most important reasons that he achieved that recognition is his love of the human soul – every soul! Young or old, rich or poor, black or white, he and his wife, Susie, were truly committed Christians who gave all that they had to minister to the lost. As Jesus bid his disciples to lift up their eyes and behold the harvest, yes, I pray that the Lord Jesus will move us to lift up our eyes! Get them off ourself and see those in true need!
