Cindy Lou

Written by David and posted on millponddarter, February 19, 2012. This was a poem to be included in Heritage Crossing, as written by Helen Judd Barbour in her romance novel, Cindy Lou.

She had a wonderful plot.
Romantic times and scenes.
All the necessary embellishments,
And ever-present steam.
But for little passionate Cindy Lou,
What once was fragrant,
A lovely flower, wilt
To become a flagrant dream
Of love denied,
A romance spoiled
Of hours spent
Amidst her toil,
No lover ever came.
